Irino (Ibusuki, Southern Kagoshima Region) Surfing Info and Details
A beach break point that responds to typhoons and other south swells. In summer, when typhoons pass from the southeast to the west, it is a good target. On south to southwest swell, it has the same size specs as Eguchihama surfing spot.
Irino surfing spot offers compact regular and goofy conditions. There are boulders on the inside and some sand bars on the long beach.
The terrain is relatively stable, so you can catch the southeast swell and surf it. Also, the swells tend to combine nicely.
It has the advantage that it is easy to dodge the onshore swell from the south due to the cliffs on the left side and Kaimon Mountain sticking out to the south.
