Located on the rias coast, it used to be one of the major points in Iwate. In summer, it is a bathing beach, so surf at the back left. There are constant waves and beginners can enjoy.
It is good to surf in the middle tide because the waves are slightly damp.
After the Great East Japan Earthquake, the beach has been in a state of extinction. There is a petition drive to reclaim the beach by local people, so surfers are encouraged to help.
