Monzen (Wajima, Ishikawa Region) Surfing Info and Details
It picks up swell from the west to the north. The bottom is a mix of sand and reef, and the terrain does not change much, so you can enjoy the point break.
It is also a beautiful beach famous for its squeaky sand, so visitors should be proactive in maintaining the environment. This is one of the areas where you can enjoy a surf trip together with Monzen sightseeing.
There are also surf spots further north on the Noto Peninsula, but they are basically local points and visitors are not allowed to enter the water.
If the conditions are good enough to enter, be sure to say hello to the locals before you go.
