This is a large beach area from the beautiful shallow beach of Obama to Iwama, where there are usually few waves. There is a parking lot with space for about 50 cars. This is a good place to check out when the surrounding areas are closed due to overhead sizes. The cape on the left side of the beach provides shelter from the wind and strong swells. The beach is huge and there are break points everywhere. It’s a beautiful surfing spot with a good parking lot and no crowds. This is a great spot to visit on a surf trip. If you head to the west, you will find Iwama Beach, which is even more expansive.
