The beach is located near the back of Ishizakihama-so, a national inn run by Sadowara Town.
Because of the power of the waves, beach erosion is progressing and the terrain is deteriorating. It is also a spawning ground for loggerhead turtles, so surfers should make special efforts to protect the environment.
