It is a popular surfing spot 5km from Tokushima prefectural office and very close to the city. Komatsu Coast often breaks when there is strong swell from east to southeast. It is hard to react to the south swell.
It often breaks along the breakwater, and there are relatively fast waves on the north side and tapered waves on the south side. On windy days, many windsurfers visit here, so be careful.
