This is a local surfing spot located to the south of Matsushima, a famous scenic spot.
It is a shallow beach break that beginners can enjoy. It has a peculiarity that it tends to close when strong swell comes in.
It becomes a fast wave at low tide, and it is possible to ride long at high tide. A little higher tide is better.

On the first Sunday of every month, a beach clean-up is held from 9:00 a.m. Visitors are encouraged to participate.
