This is the point that shows its true value in typhoon swell. It has a high quality break from the boulder bottom. Intermediate surfers and below should go to Kaden spot. If the whole area is closed, go north on R324 and check the northern beach of Reihoku.You may find some beautiful chest size waves at the spots where there is no break in normal conditions. Irino (Ibusuki, Southern Kagoshima Region) Surfing Info and Details

A beach break point that responds to typhoons and other south swells. In summer, when typhoons pass from the southeast to the west, it is a good target. On south to southwest swell, it has the same size specs as Eguchihama surfing spot. Irino surfing spot offers compact regular and goofy conditions. There are boulders on the inside and some sand bars on the long beach.The terrain is relatively stable, so you can catch the southeast swell and surf it. Also, the swells tend to combine nicely. It has the advantage that it is easy to dodge the onshore swell from the south due to the cliffs on the left side and Kaimon Mountain sticking out to the south.
