Futami (Western Kochi Region) Surfing Info and Details
It is a beach break where you can expect constant waves all year round. The facilities are good and it is always crowded with many local surfers. It is surrounded by rocks on both sides of the bay, so it is wind resistant and popular. The right break on the left side of the rocks is beautiful, but there are many local surfers, so visitors should refrain from going there. The whole shimanto area is closed when there is a strong south swell, but Hirano and Futami have some specs that can withstand it due to the cape, so check it out.
